Quieting the Storms
I spoke to a very dear relative earlier and thought about bringing this very topic, “Quieting the Storms” to my wonderful followers. This topic is near to my heart because too often unexpected events happen in our daily lives that can tend to take the wind out of our sails. For example, we might learn of a parent who suddenly fell ill and the earthly prognosis doesn’t look promising. One of the first things we tend to do with this information is worry and think the worst. Instead, it is at this time, when we have to become better gatekeepers of our thoughts; quieting the storms.
Peace. Be Still.
Mainly, thoughts are things and those things that are thought, will show up in our lives; creating good or not so good experiences. So, at the end of the day, we determine which outcome will show up in our daily experiences. Back to the example mentioned earlier, even when we are given a prognosis about an illness, we must control how we think about it. And, because we know thoughts are things, it’s imperative that we quiet the storms of worry and fear, immediately with, “Peace. Be Still.” This way, we can see more light in the situation; allowing our Minds to rest on the right prayer in alignment with peaceful thought.
The Power Within
More importantly, this way we can lean more on the Power that is within us. The same Power that I believe created the Universe and everything in it, including us. This is what I believe also how Jesus could say, “Be ye perfect as your Father in heaven is perfect.” So, no matter what the challenge is, we all have the Power within us that is brilliant enough to meet it, defeat it, and be blessed by it. All we have to do is accept this Truth in our lives and get on with the business of knowing that, we too can quiet the storms.
